We were wondering the same thing!  Summer tends to be so busy, everyone kind of forgets to pop in on a regular basis.

i know - i figured it was because of summer and everyone is on vacation or busy with summer activities.  i miss everyone. =)

Well, I suppose my excuse doesn't count for much because I've be away from SilkFair dealing with personal issues for awhile... but for what it's worth, we'd been having a heatwave for a week/10days or so with about 4 or 5 days in the 90s with 4 days over 100 and then a few more days of 90s.  Got downright chilly this morning and I had to put on a sweater for awhile.  So, since we don't have air conditioning (and in a masonry building that's like a pizza oven), I favored hanging out at the mall where the store that consigns my work is.  The owner has a large table area in the back and was happy to have me just sit, spinning beads for making french beaded flowers & my leaf people.

Hi flowers - nice to see you on the forums again. =)  not so nice to hear about the heat and the no ac for you.  we have had quite a cool summer so far - i think one week it hit 90 and usually in august we're hitting near 100.  i'm glad that you had a cool place to be though - i think i would have like that as well.

Thanks... I've missed being here and keeping up with all the changes.  I'm hoping to be back in September with lots of new items in the shop.  Have the items--just not the time to do the prep, listing and managing/promoting.

Slightly more detail in my blog http://flowersbyfarha.silkfair.com/blog/blog/12 but essentially 3 days after my last visit, my mother-in-law passed away followed by a series of lumps and bumps.

It may still be awhile before I'm fully back, but I think of you all often and the "good ol' days" at SilkFair.  (<sheesh> The cyber world moves so fast that a year-1/2 ago would be "good ol' days," lol!)

For awhile it was like "How many other shoes are there (to drop)?", but the Universe seems to have sent in a relief pitcher and quit throwing so many curve balls. (knock wood, loL!)
